Georgia-Pacific appoints Gunars Dzenis as product manager for its Paper Chemicals business

ATLANTA, GA, Nov. 19, 2010 (Press Release) - Georgia-Pacific Chemicals LLC announces the appointment of Gunars Dzenis as product manager within its Paper Chemicals business. Dzenis will guide product stewardship and strategy for GP Paper Chemicals' strength resins and sizing technologies, assume responsibility for third-party resources and assist with new product introductions.

"Our paper chemicals business continues to grow, which is complemented by our new product developments, creating exciting new business opportunities that Gunars will guide," said Robert A. McDonald, business and marketing manager for Georgia-Pacific's paper chemicals business. "He brings a depth of experience in product management within the chemical industry that will maximize the effectiveness of these programs."

Dzenis' experience includes product, operations and manufacturing managerial positions at Fang Chemicals International, Coral Chemical Company and Allchem Industries. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Florida.
