Appleton Papers seeks financial help with costs of Fox River cleanup [From the web]

MILWAUKEE, Oct. 3, 2011 (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) - The company that's financed much of the cleanup of the Fox River in northeastern Wisconsin moved last week to force other companies to pay for a larger share of the massive project.

A spokeswoman for Appleton Papers also said that the company doesn't expect to provide additional funding for the project when work to remove polychlorinated biphenyls from sediments resumes next spring.

Appleton Papers and NCR Corp. made changes to an agreement with the general contractor that lets other parties also identified as polluters pay directly to get the cleanup in Green Bay going again.
