Arjowiggins Graphic wins 2010 EU Ecolabel Communication Award for its world-wide Cocoon campaign

ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX, France, Oct. 25, 2010 (Press Release) - Arjowiggins Graphic has won the European Ecolabel Award 2010 with Cocoon, in the producer/retailer category.

On Monday 18th October in Brussels, the European Commission announced the winners of the 2010 EU Ecolabel Communication Awards.

Arjowiggins Graphic was singled out for its world-wide Cocoon campaign promoting the EU Ecolabel, in the producer/retailer category. The award recognises exceptional promotional activities to increase public awareness of the EU Ecolabel - the EU's label for environmentally-friendly goods and services.

In January 2010, COCOON (a range of innovative extra-white 100% recycled papers), manufactured by Arjowiggins Graphic in France, was awarded European Ecolabel certification in the "Copying and Graphic Paper" category.

Since certification, the Cocoon range has proudly worn the EU Ecolabel : on printed documentation, in training for customers, for educational purposes, in exhibitions, in conferences and internally throughout the Arjowiggins Graphic companies.

The jury whose chose Cocoon as a winner, included the European Commission, representatives of several Competent Bodies, the press, representatives of an NGO or an educational organisation, who looked at the following aspects of promotional activities:

- Quality & creativity of the campaign

- Effective Flower logo use

- Relevance of promotional activities undertaken

- Results achieved
