Ence included in FTSE4Good Ibex, the Spanish index for socially responsible business practices

MADRID, Sept. 13, 2010 (Press Release) - Ence belongs to FTSE4Good Ibex, the Spanish index grouping the 34 companies with the best socially responsible business practices.

FTSE4Good Ibex is a worldwide reference to know the leading enterprises in responsible investment. In fact, besides the Spanish Stock Exchange, there are other stock markets with this index such as Johannesburg, London, Malaysia, NASDAQ, Singapore and Taiwan, apart from the Dow Jones Indexes.

FTSE4Good points out that responsible investment is increasing worldwide and it's concentrating the interest of an important community of investors which recognizes that ‘there is a need to manage with social and environmental risks. Besides, more and more enterprises agree that a good corporate responsibility can be an added value to financial results'. In fact one of the main objectives of FTSE4Good is to ‘allow responsible investors to identify and invest in those companies globally fulfilling Corporate Responsibility standards'.

FTSE4Good criteria for social and environmental responsibility are based on the management of environmental risks, climate change, human and labour rights, Supply Chain Labour Standards and good governance practices.

The responsible investment index comprises 34 companies. It was created in 2008, and then it was constituted by 27, so its original constitution has increased a 26%. Besides, this index is revised every six months in order ‘to make a continuous evaluation for enterprises not to relax their social responsibility policies'.
