Swedish virgin-fiber packaging producer Korsnäs publishes first sustainability report

GAVLE, Sweden, May 10, 2011 (Press Release) - Korsnäs AB's first Sustainability Report covers the 2010 calendar year with information on our organisation from a sustainability perspective.

Korsnäs has chosen to prepare its report in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), which illuminates sustainability issues from the perspectives of the Environment, Working Environment, Human Rights, Society, Product Responsibility and Economic Impact.

The objective has been for the analysis to include processes and flows of significance for the company's operations.

For 2010 Korsnäs has chosen to prepare its report in accordance with GRI's level C+, which requires that the organisation publish basic information on its operations and data for at least ten selected factual areas. The Sustainability Report has been reviewed and attested by external auditors.

- The ambition is for this Sustainability Report to be an annual publications, allowing us to follow our development in this area, says Christer Simrén, President and CEO of Korsnäs AB.
