Millar Western's woodlands operations now certified under SFI and ISO 14001 standards

EDMONTON, AB, Jan. 11, 2012 (Press Release) - Following successful audits in late 2011, Millar Western's Boyle woodlands operations have now been certified under the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and ISO 14001 standards, joining the company's Whitecourt/Fox Creek operations. Effective January 11, 2012, certificates have been issued for Boyle and renewed for Whitecourt and Fox Creek. The certification of all company woodlands operations under these internationally-recognized, third-party-audited forest certification and environmental management programs marks a significant milestone for Millar Western, providing stakeholders with further confirmation of the company's commitment to managing natural resources in a responsible and sustainable manner.
