RockTenn removing barrels of toxic waste from its former Otsego mill site in Michigan [From the web]

OTSEGO, MI, Jan. 25, 2012 (Local News) - Workers will be on site today at the former RockTenn paper mill in Otsego today removing 200 drums and bins of toxic waste, though it is unclear whether the drums were left behind when the company sold the plant, or brought in by a subsequent owner.

Before it closed abruptly in the summer of 2004, the RockTenn paper mill had been one of Otsego 's largest taxpayers and employers.

The site includes mill buildings and 32 acres at 431 Helen Ave., and had been sold to a salvage company.
