KaMin sets 10-15% price increase on paper kaolin products

MACON, GA, June 16, 2008 (Press Release) - KaMin LLC announced today a price increase of 10 - 15% on its products sold to the paper industry. This price increase is effective immediately or as contracts permit. This price increase is in addition to the energy surcharge program that is already in place on all products sold the paper industry.

"Record energy prices and numerous other rapidly rising costs have impacted all facets of our operations. While we have an active productivity program to offset inflationary pressure the unprecedented rise over the last several months has made it necessary for us to seek additional pricing from our customers so that we can continue to deliver KaMin's quality products and customer service," said Doug Carter, Vice President - Paper.

KaMin LLC is an independent kaolin company formed from the former Kaolin Business Unit of Huber Engineered Materials, part of J.M. Huber Corporation. The company, which supplies high-quality kaolin products to paper and industrial customers worldwide, is headquartered in Macon, GA.
