Futura plans new service center to support North American tissue market

LUCCA, Italy, Oct. 20, 2009 (Press Release) - Futura S.p.a. has finalized its latest investment in the North American tissue market with a new Service Center due to open at the beginning of November 2009.

Futura now has a solid base of installations throughout North America, with further startups due during the next 12 months, and more orders in the pipeline. To guarantee its ProCare service commitment to an expanding customer base in the region, Futura has decided to enhance its existing North American engineering and customer care operation, headed by Justen Smith, with a fully-equipped engineering and spare-parts facility.

The Service Center is located at 319 Curie Drive in Alpharetta, a short distance out of Atlanta, Georgia. The sales and marketing team led by Christian Viviers will also be based at the new facility.

Futura's corporate director Marco Dell'Osso has overall responsibility for the North American market: "The new Service Center is a practical step to ensure our customers in North America continue to receive prompt and effective support," said Dell'Osso. "It also demonstrates our commitment to the market in this region, where our innovative technology has been particularly well received."
