Heritage Paper adds digital printer at California folding carton and packaging plant

SAN FRANCISCO, July 8, 2011 (RISI) - Heritage Paper is installing a digital printer at its 130,000 ft2 Livermore, CA, folding carton, and single-faced and litho laminated, and custom packaging plant, according to the San Francisco Business Times.

"This should increase our sales and expand our market reach," said Heritage Paper CEO John Tatum in the July 1 story. "I'm sure we will be hiring again this year to meet the increased demand of printing needs."

Tatum said the firm sees growth potential in flexible packaging.

"There just aren't many companies taking control of packaging for the food industry in the United States, and the market is there," Tatum said. "We want to help prove that more of the industry demands can be met in the states by a local company." The $30 million/yr Heritage Paper has plants in Northern California other than in Livermore as well as Reno, NV.
