The sheeter group of MarquipWardUnited has announced plans to host a technical symposium, Nov. 2 to 6, at its world headquarters in Phillips, Wis. Since the 2004 event, MarquipWardUnited's sheeter group has experienced continued significant growth that has positioned the company as a leading supplier of one the most complete range of sheeters in the market today.
The symposium will include presentation and equipment displays of MarquipWardUnited's sheeter technology evolution. There will be four different sheeter product lines on display to showcase the breadth of MarquipWardUnited's equipment range. The development of the equipment is a result of a long-term planning exercise to expand and perfect a comprehensive range of paper and board sheeting solutions suitable for mill, converter and folding carton market sectors based on common technology and proven methodology.
The machines on display will be the TSKM, SheetWizard, SheetProTM and SheetRunnerTM.
The new TSKM (1450 mm, 57") is the clear technology and efficiency leader in the narrow width entry level dual-rotary sheeter market. Advanced features and innovative design allow this machine to fall within the budget of small and medium sized converters, folding carton plants, and commercial printers.
Specifically designed for the production needs of small to medium sized converters and folding carton plants, the SheetWizard offers the ultimate in flexibility. The SheetWizard (1650/1850 mm, 65/73") can run both paper and board and provide superior cut accuracy.
In the high-production world of large folding carton plants and board converters, the SheetRunner's (1500/1850 mm, 59/73") dual-rotary knife; heavy duty, large box stacking; and high-speed splicer hit the mark. SheetRunners can also be equipped with auto setup and auto order change.
The SheetPro (1500/1850 mm, 59/73") (2200/2500 mm, 87/98") has been specifically designed to meet the production needs of those who require high tonnage output. This multi-purpose, dual-rotary sheeter accurately cuts both fine paper and paperboard for maximum flexibility. With the best short sheet speed curve in the industry, the SheetPro is also configurable with multiple paper delivery and continuous run pallet discharge systems.
The symposium will take place over three days, with attendees choosing between two one-and-a-halfday sessions. MarquipWardUnited looks forward to sharing its new technology, gaining input on these developments and discussing how to stay competitive in this challenging market.
