Metso to rebuild containerboard machine for Dong Il Paper in South Korea

HELSINKI, Aug. 19, 2009 (Press Release) - Metso will rebuild the PM 1 containerboard machine at the Ansan mill of Dong Il Paper Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in South Korea. The start-up of the rebuilt 4.1-m-wide containerboard machine is scheduled for the second quarter of 2010. The value of the order will not be disclosed.

The scope of Metso's delivery includes a rebuild of the press section with a SymBelt shoe press and a modernization of the sizer. The PM 1 press rebuild at the Ansan mill will be the fifth Metso SymBelt shoe press delivery to Dong Il Paper. PM 1 produces coated white top liner and linerboard in the basis weight range of 160 to 230 g/m².
