Model completes wastewater pre-treatment facility at its Opakowania plant in Poland

BILGORAJ, Poland, Oct. 7, 2009 (Press Release) - Installation of industrial wastewater pre-treatment facilities in the Model Opakowania Plant in Czosnów has been successfully completed. This plant allows the plant to pre-treat more than 70 cubic meters of its flexo paint effluent and residue amounts of starch glue per month. The pre-treated water is recycled back into the production purposes.

The pre-treatment facilities have been completed as part of a plant extension and modernization project, financially supported by the National Environmental Protection and Water Management Fund, under Activity 4.4, Priority IV of the Operating Programme "Infrastructure and Environment" 2007 - 2013. Under priority IV of the Program, installation of facilities is designed to mitigate the adverse environmental impact of the economic activity and to adopt the systems to the requirements of Community law.
