Montalvo launches small U-series load cell for use in harsh environments

GORHAM, ME, Oct. 13, 2009 (Press Release) - The Montalvo Corporation, international specialists in industrial web control systems, announces its U-25 series load cell.

President Ed Montalvo says, "This is a small, very sensitive load cell that has been designed for harsh environments. It is well suited to specialty converting processes, printing, tissue manufacture, and for use with nonwovens."

The U-Series load cell is made of stainless steel construction and is water resistant, giving it an IP-66 standard rating and an optional IP-67 rating.

The U-25 has been designed from the ground up to extend the lower end of the U-Series range.

"Since the UPB Series did not have a low range equivalent, and since many customers have need of an under-pillow-block load cell even in smaller applications, we developed the U-25. The U-25 will retrofit certain competitive load cells without any change to bolt patterns," says Montalvo. The company's specialists can help ensure proper sizing of load cells.
