Montalvo offers free data sheet on new F-Series load cell for limited space applications

Montalvo Corporation's data sheet on its new F-Series load cell for limited space applications displays several photos of the load cell, a list of unique features, sizing diagrams, and various specifications.

The new load cells are ultra slim and come in three sizes (F17, F25, F35), ranging in overall thickness from 38 mm (1.496 inches) to 65 mm (2.559 inches).

Features of the F-Series include:

• new high-tensile aluminum construction

• wide load ranges

• unique adjustable hard stops -- factory set for optimum protection

• overload protection which is 10 times normal loads

• can be mounted inside or outside the machine frame

• measuring range of 1:25

• reliable repeatability

The F-Series uses tension and compression strain gauges connected in a full-bridge configuration. As tension forces deflect the beam, the gauge resistances change and this produces an output signal which is proportional to web tension.
