PMT Italia rebuilds shoe press for Cartiera di Bosco Marengo in Italy

PINEROLO, Italy, Feb. 15, 2010 (Press Release) - In the month of January 2010, PMT started up at the same time two PMT Shoe Presses in two different parts of the world very far from each other. One was in India on January 22nd and the other in Italy on January 25th.

The Italian reference is the family owned Cartiera di Bosco Marengo in Alessandria province with only one board machine, which relied on PMT to rebuild the existing press section integrating a powerful PMT Shoe Press operating at 1200 kN/m on 200-600 gsm board, with a target of production increase and quality improvement.

The preliminary results, after only few weeks operation, show clear production increase, improved quality and stable runnability. Further work is still to be done, but the first and most important target is achieved: the customer's trust in PMT.
