PMT to supply new dryer section for PM rebuild at Aylesford Newsprint in the UK

PINEROLO, Italy, Sept. 23, 2009 (Press Release) - Aylesford Newsprint is a paper mill in the south-east of England, which manufactures on average 390,000 tonnes of recycled newsprint every year. They have selected PMT Italia S.p.A. as the supplier of the new dryer section for the rebuild of their PM13 paper machine, which is 5.78m in wire width.

Start up of PM13 post rebuild is scheduled for December 2009, and will reinforce Aylesford's continuing programme of improving quality and more efficient production.

The PMT solution was the preferred choice for Aylesford Newsprint as a direct consequence of the increased interest of PMT to establish their presence in the UK market. This follows the successful rebuild and installation of a new press section in the St. Regis paper mill at Kemsley, near Sittingbourne, Kent.

PMT Industries Limited in Bolton (at the site of the former Sandusky Walmsley Limited) is a fully owned subsidiary of PMT Italia S.p.A. and is destined to become a key element for PMT's strategy in the UK market.
