Paper Converting Machine emerging from recession after refocusing product lines [From the web]

ASHWAUBENON, WI, June 7, 2011 (Local News) - Paper Converting Machine Co. spent the recession preparing for the future.

The future is now, and it's looking good.

"Seven months into the fiscal year, our orders were 53 percent over budget for this year," said Steve Kemp, vice president of sales and customer service.

The Ashwaubenon company continues a transformation begun when it was acquired by Barry-Wehmiller in 2005. Processes have been turned inside out and new products developed.

"We've redirected all of our product lines. Historically, we would look at what are the new whiz-bang things. That's not what we did here," Kemp said.
