Voith to rebuild Jindaxing PM 1 with Single Nipco Press technology in China

Voith Paper signed a contract with Jindaxing Paper in September 2009, to rebuild the company's PM 1 press section using Voith Paper's Single Nipco Press technology, and also provide a 2X2 EcoSoft calendar. The rebuild is expected to be completed in December 2010.

By rebuilding Single NipcoFlex Press, the speed of the machine can be improved to 1,000 m/min and the dry content after press will increase more than 50%, reducing steam consumption in the dryer section. It is calculated that the annual steam consumption savings can reach approximately ten million RMB thanks to the rebuild, a main reason for Jindaxing to choose Voith's Single NipcoFlex Press. In addition, the Voith Single NipcoFlex Press technology has been adopted by eight companies abroad. As one of the few graphic paper manufacturers in Nanning, Jindaxing sets high standards on surface smoothness and bulk. The quality of the paper will be improved after the rebuild. PM1 is second-hand equipment acquired from the United States and the original supplier was Beloit. Early in 1990, Voith rebuilt the machine by installing a new headbox and top wire, as well as the sizing machine.

Guangxi Jindaxing Paper was founded in 2001. It owns two high-speed network folders with gate rolls made by Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) and Beloit (U.S.A.). It produces 120,000 tons of high-grade newsprint paper and 130,000 tons of DIP pulp per annum. The company's newsprint production capacity is expected to reach one million tons within five years.
