The Chinese company Minfeng Special Paper, located in Jiaxing City in the Zhejiang Province, has placed an order with Voith Paper for the rebuild of the marking press with the proven Nipco Roll technology at the beginning of July 2009. The delivery also includes the control system for the Nipco F Roll. The PM 20 produces cigarette and tipping papers.
Owing to the successful cooperation between Minfeng and Voith Paper in the production of high-quality cigarette paper on PM 18 during the past 10 years, both sides cooperate again this time to optimize the marking press section of Minfeng PM 20 to ensure that paper marking is more even.
The Nipco F Roll has two main advantages compared to a swimming roll. It ensures an excellent marking profile in cross direction by an even nip especially at the edges. Even more important for the quality of the cigarette paper is that the zone-controlled Nipco F Roll ensures an even marking profile over the complete line load range of the press.
The rolls in the marking press are arranged in the proven way: The Nipco F Roll with ProMark 91 soft cover is installed in top position and the marking roll in bottom position. The new arrangement improves the threading efficiency and the accessibility for cleaning the marking roll and changing the Nipco Roll.
The outstanding position of Voith Paper in the area of cigarette papers in China as well as the other very successful references at Minfeng Special Paper were decisive for the contract award to Voith Paper.
