Bellmer to supply four TURBOPresses, shoe press technology for Lee & Man in China

ÖSCHELBRONN, Germany, April 6, 2011 (Press Release) -

Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing Ltd was established in 1994 and has developed over the years to one of the largest Chinese paper manufacturers with presently five locations.

In order to comply with the increasing demand for high quality paper and board even bet-ter, the management of Lee & Man resolved to build a factory in Ruichang City situated in Jiangxi Province. In the future, two new paper machines will produce there kraftliner and testliner papers.

One of the major targets of this investment was to implement the best and latest shoe press technology in this new company site. Since Bellmer shoe presses enjoy an excellent reputation in China, Bellmer was awarded the order for the supply of altogether four shoe presses TURBOPress. These presses' special features are an operating width of 6,900 mm as well as a design speed of 1,150 m/min. Two shoe presses each will be installed in the press section in a so-called tandem arrangement - representing a real technological speciality.

The Bellmer scope of supply comprises the hydraulic units, elements for the paper and felt guiding, electric control systems, roll covers, drive parts for the counter rolls as well as various spare parts. The tasks of engineering, mounting supervision, startup and last but not least the staff's training will be performed by Bellmer.

The first two shoe presses TURBOPress will be shipped in August 2011. The two further presses will follow one year later.
