Lucart begins project to install second tissue machine at its Troyes plant in France

PORCARI, Italy, Sept. 10, 2009 (Press Release) - Lucart Group has decided the kick-off of the project for the installation of a second paper machine (PM11) in its French plant located in Troyes (Aube department, in the Champagne-Ardenne region), managed by the company Lucart France sas.

Lucart France plant is now running a 32,000 tonne/year paper machine. Since the beginning, the Troyes plant project was studied and presented to the local Authorities foreseeing two different expansion stages, consequently the plant lay-out was studied to host a second paper machine next to the first one (PM8) remarkably reducing the time required for installation.

At the moment all paper produced in Troyes is converted on-site together with jumbo reels coming from other plants of the Group.

Lucart France expansion project foresees the installation of a 35,000 tonne/year paper machine together with the implementation of the site converting capacity.

The suppliers of paper machine and converting lines are now under selection.

Start-up of the paper machine is scheduled by the first half 2011.
