KANZAN Spezialpapiere GmbH, a majority owned subsidiary of Oji Paper Co. Ltd., has agreed to license two-sided thermal paper intellectual property (IP) from NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR). This license gives KANZAN the worldwide right to make, use and sell two-sided thermal paper under NCR's two-sided thermal paper intellectual property.
"Our agreement with NCR allows us to expand our current specialty paper offer to our customers with a high quality range of two-sided thermal papers," said Andreas Löhr, general manager, Sales and Marketing, KANZAN. "The availability of two-sided printing applications continues to grow, and this new offering will help us give our clients access to the customer satisfaction and benefits of this printing process."
NCR's 2STTM two-sided printing technology improves the efficiency of the printing process by allowing simultaneous printing on both the front and back side of a receipt or other media. By using less paper, it also helps reduce environmental impact while optimizing productivity and lowering costs.
