Chempolis to expand its operations in China, India and Southeast Asia

OULU, Finland, Nov. 19, 2010 (Press Release) - Chempolis Ltd. is expanding its operations in China and into India and Southeast Asia and has appointed the Managing Director of Chempolis' subsidiary in China, Pasi Rousu, as President, Chempolis Asia & Pacific. He will be located in Bangkok, Thailand.

Esa Niemi (M.Sc.(Eng.), MBA) was appointed earlier as Chempolis' Vice President of Business Operations, APAC and will direct pulp and biofuel business projects and be responsible for executing business operations in the Asia-Pacific area.

The following appointments have been made in Chempolis' Management Group. Juha Anttila (Ph.D.) has been appointed Vice President, Technology, with special responsibility for the development of Chempolis' technology and engineering. Vice President Päivi Rousu (Ph.D.) will be responsible for corporate R&D and IPR issues. Paula Paananen (M.Sc.(Eng.)) has been appointed Director, Environment & Communications, and will also be responsible for the operations of the Chempolis biorefinery in Oulu. Senior Vice President Tapani Kultaranta will continue his work for the Pulp and Biofuel Business Lines, responsible for formico® products.

All the above members of the Management Group report to Chempolis' CEO, Esa Rousu.
