Chemrec USA joins biorefinery deployment collaborative

DEERFIELD, IL, April 14, 2009 (Market Wire) - At a recent meeting of the Biorefinery Deployment Collaborative (BDC) in Golden, CO, Richard J. LeBlanc, CEO of Fuels-from-the-Forest(SM) black liquor gasification company Chemrec, presented the Sweden-based company's innovative business model for transforming pulp and paper mills into green fuels biorefineries.

A new member of the BDC, Chemrec is talking to various pulp and paper mills about its unique co-ownership model. Under its model, Chemrec helps arrange financing to build the biorefinery with a combination of government grants and loan guarantees, as well an equity combination by Chemrec USA, Inc.
