Chemrec, the "Fuel from the Forest" innovator, has entered into an agreement with Scott Sklar and The Stella Group to support the company's efforts to raise awareness of Chemrec's integrated biorefineries at pulp and paper mills using its patented technology to convert a mill byproduct called black liquor into renewable biofuels, biomaterials or power.
The company has plans to design, build and operate integrated biorefineries across the USA. To facilitate project financing, Chemrec working with the Stella Group intends to compete for federal, state and local government programs and incentives such as project grants and loan guarantees offered by the departments of Energy and Agriculture.
The Stella Group Ltd. is a strategic marketing and policy firm for clean distributed energy users and renewable energy and technology companies in biomass, solar, wind, batteries, energy efficiency and fuel cells. The firm blends distributed energy technologies, aggregates financing (including leasing), with a focus on system standardization.
Scott Sklar, the Group's founder and president, has co-authored books in the renewable energy field: "The Forbidden Fuel: Power Alcohol in the Twentieth Century," an updated version to be released in 2010, and "A Consumer Guide to Solar Energy."
