Clearwater gains hydroelectric renewal license for Cellu Tissue mill in New York [From the web]

GOUVERNEUR, NY, Oct. 4, 2011 (Watertown Daily Times) - The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has issued a 40-year renewal license to Cellu Tissue for operation of the hydroelectric project on the Oswegatchie River that feeds power to its paper mill in Natural Dam.

The license renewal for Cellu, which was purchased last year by Clearwater Paper, Spokane, Wash., is effective May 2.

The license provides more public recreation and environmental protections than were previously required.
