Electrical insulation paper maker Weidmann consolidating Massachusetts, Missouri plants to Ohio paper mill locale [From the web]

FRAMINGHAM, MA, June 17, 2011 (Local News) - A Bishop Street electronics business is moving its operations to Urbana, Ohio, leaving at least some of its workers out of a job.

Weidmann Electrical Technology, which makes insulation paper, told its employees last year about the move. The company, which is based in Switzerland, has been in Framingham since 2001.

"We are consolidating a group of our operations into one location," said Ned Dwyer, vice president of paper operations. "It has been a process we have been looking into for some time. There is no negative reason why we would want to leave Framingham."
