Pöyry starts up research operations in Falun, Sweden
VANTAA, Finland, March 14, 2008 (Press Release) - Pöyry has employed eight engineers from StoraEnso Research in Falun, Sweden. The recruitment of these specialists is related to the relocation of StoraEnso's research operations to Karlstad, Sweden. The engineers will join Pöyry's team focusing on process technology and operations improvement. The employed engineers specialise in the areas of mechanical pulp, paper, environment and chemicals.
This recruitment will strengthen Pöyry's local presence in Sweden and further enhance the company's local image as a strong process technology expert within forest industry and related industries. Pöyry Forest Industry AB in Sweden employs about 340 experts located at 16 offices, including the new office in Falun, from Kiruna in the north to Lund in the south.
