OTTAWA, Jan. 12, 2012 (Local News) - Glatfelter Gatineau Ltée flipped the switch this week on a new, $9-million production line that doubles the mill's output of high-absorbency paper used in adult diapers, tampons and similar products.

The expansion could add 17 jobs to about 300 existing positions at the plant near the Gatineau airport.

"This really speaks to the quality of the workforce in Gatineau," said Dante Parrini, president and chief executive of P.H. Glatfelter Co. "We want to be the global supplier of choice in specialty papers and products."
