The CrossGlobe Group announced today the opening of its newest operation located less than five miles from the Port of Houston in Pasadena, TX. This 100,000 square foot distribution center utilizes specialized light weight tractors, 40' super single and tri-axle equipment to provide heavy haul capabilities to our customers for a variety of commodities including beverage, granite and stone slabs, specialty flooring, lumber products, pulp and paper. Our Houston facility offers customers one stop shopping for ocean container drayage, full truckload, LTL transportation, order fulfillment, warehousing, and logistics services.
Bill Franks, President and CEO of CrossGlobe, stated, "Our expansion into the Port of Houston is a continuation of our strategic plan and shows that we are committed to having facilities in major port locations on the East and Gulf coasts of the United States. We will continue to provide high quality, total package solutions that are needed to satisfy our global customers' supply chain needs. Houston was a logical choice for CrossGlobe as we prepare our business for the expansion of the Panama Canal. We have a very dedicated group of employees and contractors and I am pleased to have Ted Gaze as the location's General Manager. I know that the entire CrossGlobe team is excited about this expansion and we look forward to providing the high level of service that the CrossGlobe Group is known for across North America."
