Kansas City Southern (KCS) announced today that David R. Ebbrecht, vice president transportation for The Kansas City Southern Railway Company (KCSR) has accepted the position of senior vice president operations for Kansas City Southern de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (KCSM). Based in Monterrey, N.L., Mr. Ebbrecht will report to KCSM president and executive representative Jose G. Zozaya, closely coordinating with KCSR executive vice president and chief operating officer Scott E. Arvidson.
"In his previous role, Dave has proven his ability to execute effective change management with a systemwide implementation of an operating methodology focused on sustainable, measurable operating results," said Mr. Arvidson. "We look forward to the implementation of this methodology on KCSM, with a goal of achieving continuous operating performance improvements, greater synergies and economies of scale between the two railroads."

Former KCSM senior vice president operations William H. Nolen has accepted a new position as executive representative for KCS. Based in Laredo, Texas, he will report to KCS president and chief operating officer David L. Starling.
"In this new role, Bill will be in a position to lend his railroad expertise to a variety of special projects for KCSR, KCSM and Panama Canal Railway Company (PCRC)," said Mr. Starling.
With 36 years as a railroader, Mr. Nolen has served as KCSM's senior vice president operations since October 2007. Prior to his most recent role, he also served as vice president transportation for KCSM.
"Bill was instrumental in the implementation of the Management Control System on KCSM and has been a key contributor to the development of KCSM's operations," said Mr. Zozaya. "We look forward to his continued leadership on special projects."
The new vice president transportation for KCSR will be announced in the coming weeks.
