Weyerhaeuser pulp mill equipment transportation causes highway controversy in Idaho and Montana on way to Alberta [From the web]

BURNABY, BC, Oct. 3, 2011 (Local News) - An industrial moving company is being blocked from trucking 11 oversized loads from Washington State to a construction site in Alberta, by an environmental group, which filed a petition with the Idaho Transportation Department.

"It doesn't matter if someone is building a Lego plant or an oilsands facility, carrying large construction modules and processing equipment on a federally designated scenic highway, that is only two lanes or 24 feet wide, doesn't fit and doesn't belong," said Brett Haverstick, education and outreach director with the Friends of Clearwater. "It just shouldn't be transported."

Nickel Bros has been contracted by Weyerhaeuser to move the oversized loads.
