PORTLAND, OR , Jan. 9, 2013 (RISI) -
U.S. lumber production through the first 10 months of 2012 was 24.14 billion board feet (bbf), a gain of 7.4% over the same period in 2011, according to the Western Wood Products Association. Western production through October 2012 was 10.84 bbf, up 9.7% year-over-year, while production in the South was 12.03 bbf. An increase of 5.6%.
