Currency update: sentiment is toward a softer dollar



PORTLAND, OR , March 12, 2010 (RISI) - Global currencies were nearly stable against the dollar this week, even though four of the seven key currencies firmed slightly. All changes were less than one percent, with the exception of the New Zealand dollar, which firmed by 1.3% against the dollar. The Chinese renminbi remained stable at 6.83 per dollar, and the Euro held steady at 0.73 Euros per dollar.
