EACOM plans to reopen its Ear Falls, Ontario sawmill sometime next year. The mill closed in December 2009. The mill reopening was dependent on reaching a labor agreement with the union and a steady supply of lumber.
EACOM plans to begin timber harvesting and wood purchasing operations in the first quarter of 2014 in order to build a log inventory. Refurbishment Improvements to the sawmill equipment will begin this fall.
