Inland lumber mill closed in 2009 to reopen this spring

PORTLAND, OR , Jan. 15, 2014 (RISI) -

An improving housing market and a favorable court ruling over a sizeable timber sale will help Bennett Lumber Products Inc. open its shuttered Guy Bennett Lumber Mill near Clarkston, Idaho, this spring, according to The Lewiston Tribune.

Brett Bennett, vice president of the Princeton-based company, said the mill along the Snake River will employ 60 to 70 people in one shift. The mill was closed in 2009.
