According to local news reports, Klausner Mills will expand its operations to include a new sawmill facility in Enfield, N.C., bringing 350 new jobs to the area. It will be the company's first U.S. mill.
Halifax County Economic Development Director Cathy Scott said $110 million will be invested by the company, and the jobs will be created over the next three years. She also said Klausner will receive a grant of up to $750,000 from the One North Carolina Fund, to support the expansion, and a local match is required.
