U.S. dollar stable in quiet week for global currencies



PORTLAND, OR , Nov. 20, 2009 (RISI) - The U.S. dollar was very nearly stable against key global currencies this week, softening slightly only against the pesos of Chile and Mexico. It firmed very slightly against the New Zealand dollar and the Canadian dollar. Against the Brazilian Real and the Euro, the dollar held steady at unchanged marks from last week. The dollar was also unchanged against the Chinese renmenbi.
