PORTLAND, OR , Feb. 11, 2014 (RISI) -
U.S. lumber exports in 2013 totaled 1.74 billion board feet (bbf), an increase of 13.5% over the 2012 total, according to Foreign Agricultural Service data. The 2013 total is the most lumber exported out of the U.S. since 1997.
Shipments to China totaled 383.60 million board feet (mmbf) last year, up from 224.03 mmbf in 2012 and shy of the record set in 2011 of 415.93 mmbf.
