PORTLAND, OR , Jan. 14, 2014 (RISI) -
U.S. softwood lumber exports in November dropped 13% from October's spike but continued a trend of stronger shipments in 2013, according to statistics released by the Foreign Agricultural Service. Monthly lumber exports in 2013 have exceeded year-over-year totals from 2012 for 12 consecutive months.
U.S. lumber exports totaled 152.58 million board feet (mmbf) in November compared to 175.39 mmbf the month prior. In November 2012, shipments totaled 131.65 mmbf.
