Jennifer Coskren is a Senior Economist in the Wood Products group at RISI. She has more than 15 years of professional experience in construction economics, macroeconomics, statistics and real estate research. She is the co-author of the monthly Structural Panel Commentary and five and fifteen year North American Structural Panel Forecasts. Before coming to RISI in 2014, Jennifer worked at McGraw-Hill Construction and was responsible for maintaining and improving the national and regional construction models. She also developed new models to forecast state level housing starts and was behind the development and maintenance of the Dodge Momentum Index, a widely cited leading indicator of nonresidential construction spending. In addition, she provided consulting services, assisting clients with building models for individual company sales forecasting. Prior to returning to McGraw-Hill in 2001, Jennifer was employed by Bain & Company, where she did market research and statistical consulting. Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Regis College in Weston MA and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Economics from Bentley University in Waltham MA.
