Andreas Birmoser is Veracel’s new CEO

SAO PAULO, March 27, 2018 (PPI Latin America) -Andreas Birmoser assumed on Feb. 26 the position of CEO at Brazilian bleached eucalyptus kraft (BEK) pulp producer Veracel. The company is a 50/50 joint venture between Fibria and Stora Enso in Bahia state, northeast Brazil, with capacity to produce 1.1 million tonnes/yr of BEK pulp.

Veracel was created in 2005 and has about 2,900 direct and indirect employees.

Birmoser graduated in business management at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP/Brazil) and holds an MBA from IMD Business School (Switzerland). He has previously worked as Veracel's financial director (2010-2011) and was a member of the ...
