APRIL and Asia Symbol raise UFP export prices by $30/tonne
SINGAPORE, Sept. 28, 2017 (PPI Asia) -Asia Pacific Resources International (APRIL) and its Chinese subsidiary Asia Symbol have announced plans to raise uncoated fine paper export prices by $30/tonne on October orders.
The duo had already sought rises of $30/tonne for last month’s orders.
They have been partially carried through, with the implementation of $20-30/tonne increases in some markets, but less or nothing yet in others, said an APRIL spokesman.
In China, Asia Symbol has implemented rises of RMB 600/tonne ($91/tonne) for its cut-size products and RMB 300/tonne for offset paper for October deliveries, the source indicated.
