Argentina eases restrictions on recovered paper imports

SAO PAULO, Sept. 10, 2019 (PPI Latin America) -Argentinean president Mauricio Macri has signed a new decree that changes restrictions on waste imports. By the new rules, importers are no longer required to obtain a safety certificate in order to buy materials destined for recycling. The modification affects the recovered paper market in Argentina, a country that traditionally depends on imports of old corrugated containers (OCC) for its production of packaging paper.
