Argentinean P&P output, apparent consumption fall

SAO PAULO, Sept. 12, 2017 (PPI Latin America) -The latest statistics released by the Argentinean Pulp and Paper Assn (AFCP) show that the country produced 801,022 tonnes of paper and 429,887 tonnes of pulp in January-June 2017, respectively 5.4% and 1.9% lower than in the same period of 2016.

Paper apparent consumption through June was 1 million tonnes, or 18.7% lower than a year ago. Paper imports decreased 22.8% to 345,394 tonnes in the period, while exports increased 45.8% to 76,058.
