Canadian housing starts decline sharply in May

OTTAWA, June 12, 2018 (Bloomberg) -Canadian housing starts dropped sharply in May, led by a 15% decline in multifamily construction, according to Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation. Starts were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 195,613 units in May. It was the first time in a year that starts dropped below the 200,000 mark.
