China issues small round of RCP import quotas, again down 37.5%

SINGAPORE, June 12, 2019 (Fastmarkets RISI) -The Chinese government has issued a new round of recovered paper import permits, amounting to just 5,940 tonnes.

The quotas in the eighth batch for this year, released on Tuesday, have been given to just two comparatively small companies.

Similar to the fifth to seventh batches, the new licenses are down around 37.5% compared to early-2019 quotas the recipients received.

Laizhou Rutong Specialty Paper has got 5,250 tonnes, down from the 8,400 tonnes it received for 2019 in December.

Guangdong Tonli Customization has been granted 690 tonnes, dipping from the 1,100 tonnes it got in January.
