China’s Dongguan Shuangzhou Paper still down after fatal accident

BEIJING, April 19, 2019 (PPI Asia) -China’s Dongguan Shuangzhou Paper, which runs a single corrugating medium mill with a capacity of nearly 400,000 tonnes/yr, has been out of action since February 15, following a deadly accident.

It is unknown when the plant will resume production.

Six managers are in detention over the incident.

According to the municipal emergency management office, the accident, which killed seven workers and injured two, was caused by the negligence of the managers, including general manager Mo Guilong.
