China’s Nine Dragons takes downtime on 300,000 tonne/yr BM in Sichuan

BEIJING, May 3, 2019 (PPI Asia) -China’s Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) shut down a 300,000 tonne/yr recycled containerboard machine at its mill in Leshan city, Sichuan, on Monday.

Dubbed PM 38, the unit is scheduled to resume operations on May 7.

The company said the downtime is for maintenance work.

The stoppage will cut its corrugating medium output by approximately 7,000 tonnes.

The Leshan mill houses five other PMs, which can produce up to 50,000 tonnes/yr of kraft paper and specialty paper in total. No immediate downtime is scheduled for them.
